German Australian Business Council represented at the AHK Ambassador’s Gala Dinner in Sydney, October 2019

German Australian Business Council Chair, Sabine Pittrof, attended the Ambassador’s Gala Dinner of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sydney on the 18th of October, 2019. The event marked the introduction of the new German Ambassador to Australia, Dr Thomas Fitschen. In his address, the Ambassador gave an overview of the status of German-Australian relations, highlighting their breadth and emphasising their amicable character. Dr Fitschen also reminded the audience of the imminent thirtieth anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Well over 150 attendees shared a lively exchange and enjoyed great music from band Superstitious. The music certainly kept Sabine awake despite having gone straight into the function after a 25 hour trip!
