AGM 2025, Frankfurt & Online, April 2025

On the 8th April 2025, the German Australian Business Council held its Annual General Meeting at the multifunctional event premises of Memox Taunusanlage in Frankfurt am Main.

We are proud to report 12 events in 2024, as well as a policy submission and participation in a parliamentary hearing on the FTA. 2024 also afforded us the opportunity to appoint our new Treasurer, Francesca Ubaldi, and new Deputy Treasurer, Matthew Reynolds. In implementing strategy, we welcomed a new event coordinator to the team and established a Business Council Co-Chair model, with Co-Chairs: Rob Harrison and Sabine Pittrof. Through our active representation in the ABIE network, we participated in meetings in Madrid and Paris, and the establishment of a voluntary ABIE secretariat.

Following the narrative and financial reporting, members and friends engaged in another productive German Australian Business Council session of networking.

For their professional hosting, we would also like to thank the team at the very practical and pleasant spaces of Memox.

We look forward to seeing our members and friends at some of our many events this year, including the annual Ambassador’s Dinner held at the Australian Embassy premises in Berlin, on the 24th of June, with our Patron and Ambassador Natasha Smith.
