Australian government launches Global Talent Program

The Australian Government has introduced the Global Talent Program (GTP) which aims to bring up to 5000 talented individuals from across the world to Australia. Seven sectors are being targeted: AgTech, FinTech, MedTech, Cyber Security; Quantum Information, Advanced Digital, Data Science and ICT, Space and Advanced Manufacturing and Energy and Mining Technology. The GTP focuses on identifying the right balance of formal qualifications and relevant work experience in order to give highly skilled candidates of all age-groups a fair chance. The internationally distinguished candidates are selected on their ability to drive innovation and have a positive impact on Australia’s economy.
